Privacy & YouTube data
Updated 3 November 2026
MIK Studio operates the Content Hub, a private workspace for show performance reports and producer reviews. This page describes its Google sign-in and owner-authorised YouTube connection.
What the Hub accesses
Google sign-in supplies your account identity and verified work email to control access to the Hub. A YouTube connection is separate: the channel owner chooses a channel and grants read-only access to their YouTube account and YouTube Analytics reports.
The current automatic collector verifies the selected channel ID and requests daily channel views. These totals may include full episodes, Shorts and clips. It does not request permission to upload, edit or delete videos, post comments, or manage the channel.
How the data is used and stored
Channel identifiers, dated analytics and connection status support performance history, comparisons and production reporting for authorised MIK users. Google Cloud hosts the Hub and its database. OAuth credentials are stored separately in Google Secret Manager; they are not displayed in the website or included in source code. Secure session cookies keep you signed in and protect the connection flow.
Saved history and earlier record versions support reporting over time. Revoking access stops future authorised collection; it does not itself remove previously stored reports. Contact MIK below to request deletion of saved channel data and credentials.
The Hub does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising or to train general-purpose AI models. MIK Content Hub's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- You can decline a YouTube connection and use the existing report-import workflow instead.
- You can revoke the Hub's authorisation in Google Account connections.
- For access, correction or deletion requests, email adam@mik.studio and identify the relevant show or channel. Do not email passwords or access tokens.
Google processes account and API information under its Privacy Policy. The YouTube connection uses YouTube API Services.
